Note: The following is an interim policy until the ITU Council enacts an official
policy on Personal Pages.
Personal Pages:
Home pages are a tool for communicating about ourselves as a community as well as our
personal and professional interests. ITU users and staff are encouraged to explore the use
of the web by creating personal pages. Personal pages are not official ITU
information. They will not be directly linked to the official ITU pages, but will,
instead, be housed on a separate web server.
The following guidelines apply to all personal home pages:
Guidelines
- Acceptable use:
Personal home pages must not be used (1) to engage in business
enterprises; (2) to violate copyright laws; or (3) to violate any other international laws
that may apply.
Personal pages should not create a volume of network traffic or computer system load
that disrupts or interferes with the normal activities of the ITU community.
- Each personal web page must contain:
The name and e-mail address of the person(s)
responsible for the maintenance of the page.
The date of the last update of the page.
A disclaimer similar or identical to: "The views and opinions expressed in this
page are strictly those of the page author. The contents of this page have not been
reviewed or approved by the ITU."
